ABOUT

Nathalie Godin (b. 1989) is a figurative oil painter and mother of three-year-old twins, based in Richmond, VA. She picked up a paintbrush for the first time in late 2021 when she was in the trenches of early motherhood and desperately longed for something to call her own. She taught herself to paint in oils and quickly honed a talent that gave her a sense of self back. But ironically, the growth of her new skill was driven solely by one thing: her desire to paint her children.

Through her work, Nathalie strives to capture the innocence of youth, the perplexities of motherhood, and the narrative of everyday family life.
